- Pitchers Mark Comolli (from Toronto), Tim Corcoran (from Baltimore), and Alec Zumwalt (from Atlanta), catcher Adan Munoz (from Atlanta), and outfielders Matt Bowser (from Oakland) and Sergio Contreras (from Anaheim) were selected in the rule 5 draft.[1]

- Infielder Akinori Iwamura was signed to a 3-year Major League contract with a club option for the 2010 season.[2]
