- Tampa Bay dismissed Hal McRae from his duties as manager and assigned him to the position of Assistant to the General Manager.[1]
- Pitcher Wilson Alvarez and infielder Chris Gomez were released.[1]
- Infielder Russ Johnson was designated for assignment.[1]
- Pitcher Kevin McGlinchy was activated from the 60-day disabled list and designated for assignment.[1]
- Pitcher Ryan Rupe was activated from the 60-day disabled list.[1]
