- Pitcher Terrell Wade was recalled from Triple-A Durham.[1]
1999
- Outfielders Rich Butler and Carlos Mendoza and pitchers Mickey Callaway and Terrell Wade were designated for assignment.[2]
- Pitcher Cory Lidle was activated from the 60-day disabled list.[2]
- Infielders Steve Cox and Julio Franco and pitcher Jim Morris were selected from Triple-A Durham.[2]
