1998
- Pitchers Larry Casian, Bobby Munoz, Alan Newman, and Mark Sievert, outfielder Terrell Lowery, and catcher Tom Wilson were signed to minor league contracts.[1]
1999
- Outfielder Danny Clyburn and pitchers Dave Eiland, Eddie Gaillard, and Ramon Tatis were designated for assignment.[2]
- Pitchers Todd Belitz and Cedrick Bowers, infielder Jared Sandberg, and outfielder Luke Wilcox were added to the 40-man roster.[2]
2001
- Tampa Bay named Cam Bonifay to the position of Director of Player Development.[3]
- Pitcher Carlos Chantres was signed to a minor league contract.[4]
2004
- Infielders Geoff Blum and Damian Rolls and pitcher Jeremi Gonzalez were released.[5]
- Pitchers Jason Hammel, Chris Seddon, and Brian Stokes were added to the 40-man roster.[5]

- Infielder Carlos Pena was activated from the 60-day disabled list.[6]
- Pitchers Alexander Torres and Jeremy Hellickson and outfielder Desmond Jennings were added to the 40-man roster.[6]

- Pitchers Albert Suarez, Alex Cobb, and Dane de la Rosa, and catcher Nevin Ashley were added to the 40-man roster.[7]
- Minor league infielder Jose Ruiz was released.[7]

- Pitcher Joel Peralta was signed to a 2-year Major League contract[8], with team options through the 2017 season.[9]
