- Outfielder Jose Guillen was activated from the 15-day disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Durham.[1]
- Pitching coach Rick Williams was dismissed and replaced by Bill Fischer.[1]

- Catcher Tim Laker was designated for assignment.[2]
- Catcher Charles Johnson was activated from the restricted list.[2]
