- Infielder Andy Sheets was outrighted to Triple-A Durham.[1]
- Pitcher Albie Lopez and catcher Mike DiFelice were traded to Arizona in exchange for pitcher Nick Bierbrodt, outfielder Jason Conti, and cash considerations.[1]
- Catcher Toby Hall was recalled from Triple-A Durham.[1]
2012
- Infielder Ryan Roberts was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks and assigned to Tampa Bay in exchange for minor league infielder Tyler Bortnick.[2]
- Designated hitter Hideki Matsui was designated for assignment.[2]
