- Rule 5 draft selection Chris Reitsma was returned to Boston.[3]
2001
- Pitcher Ariel Prieto agreed to terms on a 1-year Major League contract.[4]
- Pitcher Mike Judd was acquired from Los Angeles (NL) in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations.[4]
- Outfielder Kenny Kelly was designated for assignment.[4]
- Pitcher Ken Hill was selected from Triple-A Durham.[4]
2003
- Outfielder Al Martin and pitcher Mike Venafro were signed to 1-year Major League contracts.[5]
- Outfielder George Lombard was claimed off waivers from Detroit.[5]
