1996
- The City of Durham, NC was awarded a Triple-A expansion franchise, the Durham Bulls, to be jointly owned by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Capitol Broadcasting. The new franchise would begin play with the 1998 season and replace an existing Advanced-A Carolina League franchise of the same name.[1]
2001
- Catcher Kevin Brown was signed to a minor league contract.[2]
2003
- Pitcher Evan Rust and a player to be named were traded to St. Louis in exchange for infielder Tino Martinez and cash considerations.[3]
2007
- Outfielder Chris Snelling was traded to Philadelphia in exchange for cash considerations.[4]
